We are so excited to introduce you aliens to MECHE KORRECT. This golden girl comes with rambunctious verve, sick pipes and personality for days. The singer + songwriter hails from the U.S. capital city of Washington, DC. And her sound is infectious. If you’re lucky to see her perform live, you will immediately fall for her quick wit, improv style and funky flow.

Meche is rounding up a six-month artist residency in Accra working with all the Accra cats including producers Sewor Okudzeto, Kweku Ananse, Kwame Yeboah and hip hop artist, M.anifest. She’s been on her hustle n’ grind, too – playing shows at the Republic Bar + Grill, Villa Monticello, +233 and more. Meche is currently in the studio working on all new material. Expect big things from this soul sister in 2014.

IND!E FUSE 2013 highlight: Meche will perform live with cult classic producer, Kweku Ananse, and producer/singer Drunk Beggar Thief at the LABS on Thursday, December 12th, 2-2:30PM [Alliance Francaise, Exhibition Hall]. The trio will record a fresh new track live and then rap with the audience in a Q+A session about their creative process. The track can be downloaded for free online following IND!E FUSE.
