We’re geeks for good fashion. And these young cats have us going flipmode over their fresh new design line for men – WELCOME TO THE HAUS OF HERCULES.
The designers define their line as EKOPOLITAN, i.e. “the lifestyles of millions of people who are mostly African or of Western descent, exuding fun, fearlessness & resilience in every area of their lives, originating from a place called LAGOS.” (as told to Terence Sambo)
Love how the Naija boys have mixed the Fela Kuti AfroBeat aesthetic with hip hop urban swag. The colorful palette choices and suede slippers keep it African, clean + sophisticated.
Can’t wait to see what else they have cooking in the kitchen. If you’re feeling the look, check out Haus of Hercules on FB and Tumblr.

Sweet! Eko is the old name for Lagos, in a way — “Eko” was the name of the original fishing settlement, before it became urbanized and took the Portuguese word “Lagos” for the area as we call it today. So, lovely to see this localization of Afropolitan fashion and creativity, taking on this very Lagos-centric vibe, and harking back to its historic significance.
A little bit of important info everyday makes a whole lot of difference. Thanks Vicki.
